Summer Session Six Recap - Author Eric Carle

Summer Session - Week Six: June 19 - 23, 2010

This week was spent with Caterpillars, Bears and Spiders! We spent this week with the books of author Eric Carle. We read the Very Hungry Caterpillar, Brown Bear Brown Bear, The Grouchy Ladybug and the Very Busy Spider.

The kids made egg carton ladybugs, painted a brown bear and made a brown bear book. We created butterfly sun catchers and a spider mask.

With this heat, we have spent mornings on the playground and afternoons inside. Today, with the temperatures reaching 100+, we will be coming in to watch “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”.

If your camp t-shirt didn’t come home with your child this week, never fear. They will be sent home Monday. Some of them weren’t dry and we didn’t want to mess them up!

Don’t forget that next week is out last week of the Summer Camp series!
