2010 “Little Hands, Big Art” Show and Spaghetti Dinner Recap
Thank you to all of the parents, sisters, brothers, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who supported this year’s annual fundraiser for the God is Good Scholarship. The proceeds from the dinner and the trays added $1,000.00 to our God is Good Scholarship Fund. We would especially like to thank Mrs. Lawton for making her homemade spaghetti and those delicious cheese cakes, all the staff for the “behind the scenes work” picking out the art work and helping in the kitchen and last but definitely not least our parent “servers” who served everything up with a smile. You are all simply the best! We couldn’t have done it without you!

We just received a check for $210 for our last box top turn in to which we’ll add to the $273.00 we received in the Fall for a grand total of $483 to purchase something new for the playground
Summer Camp
Still trying to firm up your summer plans? Our LPC Preschool Summer Adventure Camp still has openings in the Preschool and Playgroup camps for most of the weekly sessions. Please click here for more information about the summer camp or to apply. Final summer camp tuition payments are due on May 3.
End of the Year Photo Discs
If you notice fewer photos posted in the forums from now until the end of the year, don’t worry! Each student will bring home a disc with all of the photos taken of their class during the year. This allows you to retain and print out any of those pictures you saw posted in the forum. It also is a great memory for you and your child.
From the Director’s Desk
“It never occurred to me that she didn’t love me.”
This is a truth the son of Edna Ruth Fleming revealed about his mother at her funeral last month. Many of you will not know that his mother was the Director of our Preschool before me. She served faithfully in the position for 28 years, retiring in 1985.
I would not be here if it had not been for her. God brought me here of that I have no doubt, but it was Edna Ruth who chose to keep me here.
When I heard Stephen say those words an incredible light bulb went off for me. In that moment I got it and it was humbling. What a foundation she laid and legacy she left. In those words is the philosophy we strive to live by so that whatever we do for and however we interact with the children in our care, the parents and families that come with them and each other as staff, we do so in such a way that it never occurs to them that we don’t love them. aamrhein
From the Church
For the summer months there will be one worship service at 9:30am - child friendly! If you are searching for a church home come check it out!
